Flea Market Video

Graceless

       The fall is almost over, it’s getting colder and I want to take a chance by posting this warm autumn look. I was inspired by uni, as fall is the time of the year when school starts in Europe. The outfit looks nerdy, though it’s really comfy. Every time I wear it, I feel that I am in some certain rush, running late for classes. I love black and white looks, as they correspond with my current mood and provide me the feeling of comfort.

Hunting empanadas

  Empanada is a baked or fried stuffed bread or pastry of Latin-American origin, which can have a variety of fillings from savoury to sweet.

        
        This summer during my visit to New York City, my cousins' friends brought us some incredibly delicious empanadas from Mama's Empanadas .This was my very first time trying this snack.

      As soon as I came back to DC (the place of my summer dwelling), I managed to find this tasty meal there. When I returned to Kyiv I was curious whether we have such phenomenon as empanadas in our hometown. 

         As the food culture keeps flourishing here, we succeeded in finding at least 4 spots with these marvelous tasty bundles. So if you find yourself in Kyiv, feel free to check them out ;)

           



          We've ranked the places from worst to best and focused on Colombian style empanadas.

Intro

The idea to create a blog has been drifting in our heads for a big while now. For some uncertain reason we were postponing the moment of our creating the blog. All we had were our never-ending flow of energy and tonnes of imagination. The last drop was when we've finally realized that we have to do something, otherwise we'd get depressed. And this is how "Urban Perks" was born.

2 girls from Kyiv decided to write about food, fashion, art and other interesting events of the city we stay in. The concept is determined, but we don't feel like playing an open hand. We will do our best to share our vibes and enthusiasm with you.  So here we are!
